Our winemakers are very excited to share this wine with you and rightly so, as they believe that 2021 is up there with some of the best vintages (think ‘15, ‘12, ‘05 and ‘02).

Winemaker's Note:Good winter rain allowed soil profiles to be full, giving the vines a great start to the growing season. Remarkably cool summer followed, providing perfect conditions for healthy vines to produce fruit with high natural acidity and concentrated flavours. One of the better vintages of the last decade.
Named after family matriarch, ‘The Merle’ is selected from the best parcels of Riesling from our Polish Hill River Estate, this release is sourced from 3 blocks. We are aiming for the purest expression of Polish Hill Riesling for this wine.
