2021 'Impostores' Savagnin
The eleventh vintage made from the Savagnin vines we unwittingly planted back in 2007 –it really does make a good alternative to other mainstream crisp, dry whites. It is a terrific oyster wine, but can be enjoyed with any fresh seafood really. Drink it over the next couple of summers.

Winemaker's Note:Good winter rain allowed soil profiles to be full, giving the vines a great start to the growing season. Remarkably cool summer followed, providing perfect conditions for healthy vines to produce fruit with high natural acidity and concentrated flavours. One of the better vintages of the last decade. Â
Originally brought into Australia incorrectly as Albarino, Savagnin is a variety that we have been growing for 12 years. This wine is made in a crisp, fresh style, using similar techniques to our Riesling. Think Traditionale Riesling with with some extra stone fruit and flesh.Â
