2021 'The Hill Block' Reserve Cabernet Magnum

A warm dry growing season, followed by 60mm in January and one of the coolest February’s on record resulted in small crop levels with a high concentration of flavour. 

Only made in exceptional vintages, this release is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the Clare Valley’s best varieties, and when it reaches its greatest potential, it rivals Riesling.

Good winter rain allowed soil profiles to be full, giving the vines a great start to the growing season. A remarkably cool summer followed, providing perfect conditions for healthy balanced vines. The long ripening period produce fruit with a perfect balance of good colour, high natural acidity, and concentrated flavours.

Only made in exceptional vintages, this release is 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Malbec. Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the Clare Valley’s best varieties, and when it reaches its greatest potential, it rivals Riesling.
