Wines - Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre

2005 'THE ASSEMBLAGE' SMG

Colour: Medium red, purple tints;

Aroma: Complex aromas of ripe dark berries, chocolate and white pepper with a little earthy/foresty note in the background and no perceptible oak

Palate: The rich, elegant  flavours of ripe berries and chocolate all melt into one offering up a softness that is associated with these sorts of blends.

Summary: A nice change from the “blood and thunder” of some Aussie Shiraz wines. Woodside Providore’s Wild Rabbit Pie would be a brilliant match. Drink over the next 4-5 years.
