Deep red – almost black

Aroma

Super ripe blackberry and blueberry with hints of spice, coffee grounds and graphite. Also has attractive notes of grilled meat. 

Palate

The palate is full of chocolate, berries and savoury oak, backed up nicely by silky tannins and balanced acidity providing a good structure for graceful ageing.

Summary

A complex wine typical of the E.W.P. style that is emerging. It has power, but is not a blockbuster. Under screwcap it will still be drinking nicely in 10 – 15 years time.
