Wines
2006 “The E.W.P” Reserve Shiraz
Colour
Deep red – almost black
Aroma
Super ripe blackberry, dark cherry with a hint of spice, coffee grounds and dark chocolate. Also has attractive notes of grilled meat and mocha. Quite complex.
Palate
The palate is rich, soft and powerful with chocolate, cherry and charry oak the main drivers, backed up nicely by silky tannins and enough acidity to keep the palate focused and finish long and persistent.
Summary
A complex wine typical of the E.W.P. style that is emerging. It has power, but is not a blockbuster. Under screwcap it will still be drinking nicely in 20 years time.
