Colour: Medium red, purple tints.
Aroma:Typical Grenache aromas of red and blue fruits with notes of graphite, pink peppercorn & eastern spice also in the mix. The oak is very much in the background and is barely perceptible.
Palate: Ripe blueberry and cherry flavours dominate the flavor profile here while the mouthfeel is rich and warm. Fine grained tannins and balanced acid provide length and structure to an otherwise very soft/seamless palate.
Summary: A very worthy example of a traditional Clare red varietal that will appeal to lovers of Grenache. Try this with a hearty beef stew. Drink now or keep for 3-5 years.
