Appearance: Medium red.
Aroma: Subtle/pretty aromas of redcurrant, rose perfume and crushed violets with just a whisper of French oak in the mix.
Palate: Medium bodied, displaying lovely bright, red fruits, well balanced acidity and very fine tannins. Finishes soft, fleshy and long with the elegance that typifies the variety.
Summary: We have long understood that Cabernet Franc enhances our Cabernet Sauvignon when blended in small percentages. Increasing our plantings have enabled us to keep enough to bottle as a separate wine. Enjoyable upon release, but a few years in years in the cellar will not hurt. Try with a Morocco style lamb tagine.
