2015 ‘The E.W.P.’ Reserve Shiraz
Deep red, purple tints.
Ripe blueberry and dark cherry are the main drivers here, with some graphite and subtle charry French oak but very much in the background. Just a hint of whole bunch fermentation evident too.
The medium bodied palate is filled with concentrated, ripe berry flavours that are wrapped around a core of savoury tannins that make for a long, full flavoured finish.
Sealed under screwcap, this wine should still be drinking nicely in 8 -12 years time – probably longer. I would suggest pairing it with grilled rib-eye steak on the bone or your favourite soft cheese.
