2007 'THE RED MULLET'
Colour: Deep red, purple tints
Aroma: Ripe blueberries and plums are the main drivers here with hints of spice and chocolate. Also shows a touch of our Clare minty regional character. Oak very much in the background.
Palate: Medium weight with ripe, juicy berries, plum and chocolate nuances. The texture is soft and rounded with fine tannins and balanced acid adding some length and focus.
Summary: A more serious wine than the name suggests. While providing affordable every day drinking, this wine definitely delivers plenty on the quality front. Drink now and next 3-5 years.
